Mastitis is my thesis.
Attention Ladies: guys might think it’s sexy to be able to lick or suck on your own nipples but it’s not worth it.
Believe me!
Mastitis is an infection in a mammary gland usually caused from breastfeeding. And since ain’t no one been feeding on my breasts….it must be my taunting stage trick of licking my nipples! How do you know that you have Mastitis? Flu like symptoms; warm, painful and red lump or lumps on your breasts. You know that I have not been feeling well for a month now. I have a sore throat, ear ache and I’m very tired. I went to the Dr. today because I found a very painful red lump on my areola yesterday and got nervous. I’m on an anti-biotic and warm compresses. Hopefully, barring the yeast infection that I always get from anti-biotics, I’ll be feeling better in no time! Yeah the Googlers are going to have fun with this one. And you can bet that this one is going to be added to my list of tips and tricks for strippers. I really should write a book.

Gimme Three Steps
So, it’s Wednesday. My boob is feeling better, I’m feeling better in general. Aside from forgetting to take my Prozac and hovering on the edge of madness for a day. Compound that with PMS and I could have gotten locked up in the phsyc ward for a day or so. But all is well, my hubby pulled me through along with a Gingerbread Latte enema. (shut up)
Winter has finally arrived. The temperature is hovering in the 30s and 40s. I stayed home one day last week to have the heat pump serviced and it’s working very well.
It snowed for the first time the other day and my car preformed wonderfully. I have to admit that my choice in winter tires was a great one. I hardly noticed the ice covered roads.
Christian persuaded me to go to an Indian restaurant last night for dinner. It was very good. Although my gastrointestinal tract is not happy right now.
M and I have officially declared a non Christmas. We might hang some dirty socks from the mantle. We can’t count on Christian’s because she claims she doesn’t have dirty socks. (WhAteVer) I am looking forward to the time off work. I’ll have Sunday and Monday off and it’ll be grand.
I’ve been very busy here at work. It’s supposed to be our slow season, but I haven’t seen it yet. Maybe it’ll slow down in January.
My house is a disaster zone. Working 6 days a week and being sick has left me useless otherwise. M has taken over laundry duties and he’s been able to tackle all of it. What a great man!
I will work on cleaning and putting away laundry tonight.
That’s all of my hum-drum life thus far. Here’s something interesting…. Strippers don’t like to be called “Strippers” they prefer “Entertainers” or “Exotic Dancers” or just plain “Dancers” But definitely in no circumstances are you to refer to a Stripper as a “Stripper”. That is what I learned this weekend. The girls had a conversation about it in the dressing room. Whatever ladies, you strip your clothes off for money. Therefore you are a stripper. Even Carmen Electra has her strip tease videos.
Enjoy your Wednesday.

crapin crap
I had an over-all good weekend. Money wasn't good but the weekend went by without a hitch.
It's snowing right now. I can't wait to take my car out and flog it.
This marks the first time I'm looking forward to driving in snow.
Have a nice day.

Brown Eyed Girl
What a fantabulous weekend! Great Money - Good times.
I bought a new pair of dancing shoes! I was tired of my stripper training shoes so I decided to go a little more flashy! I’ll take pictures. They’re so fun!
Christian had M drop her off at the club on Saturday night. I brought her home. She wanted to be irresponsible for once. I think she had fun.
I met a super-te-duper hot dancer visiting from Baltimore and got her phone number. I hope it's not a fake one.
M took the weekend off and slept and played video games. He really needed a mini-vacation. He feels a lot better for it today.
I have a Dr. appointment to follow up on my boob and to get refills on my scrips. I can imagine what that Dr. thinks of me. He'll grow to love me I know it.

Anatomy of Shoes - draft
You will see that I have 1 pair of boots and 2 pairs of shoes that I wear while dancing. There are several prerequisites when choosing shoes in which to dance.
Fit:
The shoes should not to tight, of course, because you will end up with blisters wherever the shoe rubs most. But more importantly - not to loose! These shoes are not just for walking the runway. They cannot be slipping under your feet or sliding around your ankles and toes. This will cause a slip and fall. When this happens you have a whole lot more shoe to fall from and that can cause broken ankles and feet. The shoe has to tolerate a lot of movement that you would not be doing otherwise. Try going down into a split while wearing tennis shoes and then try a regular pair of pumps. (even if you can’t do a split) The tennis shoes might stay on better but the pumps help create a smooth motion on the way down. On the other hand, I’m sure the pumps slipped right off halfway down. I choose shoes with straps around my ankles. The shoes will stay on no matter what I do. They won’t slip off while I’m doing pole work or lap dances. I don’t have to worry about them flinging off my feet while I’m on stage. They also will help stabilize the shoe so I will not fall (as much).
Heel Shape:
You’ll see that my black “training shoes” have a thicker heel than my newer flashy shoes. This is great for stability. I am far from graceful, especially after I’ve had my shot of courage. The black shoes are large and bulky. They help stabilize and build the muscles needed for balance so you can graduate to a slimmer more graceful shoe.
Platform size:
Platform size is up to the individual. Taller women do not need much of a platform or “elevation”. I am 5’ 1” and with 6 inch platforms on my shoes I can just look over most men’s shoulders. Walking in platform shoes takes practice. I would suggest cleaning the house in them. That will get you accustomed to variations of movement and might create some excitement in the bedroom….
Platform shape:
I did not know why dancers shoes where shaped differently from any other shoes I’ve worn. You will see a slight curve at the toe of the shoe. This curve turns out to be very beneficial! When transitioning from crouching to standing position you tend to use your toes for balance. The curve actually helps you roll into a standing position much easier than with a normal shoe! It also gives you a little more freedom when dancing in the crouching position.
Heel size:
Normally, you choose shoes by heel size (length). Some people prefer not to have any heel while others prefer up to 3 inches in their everyday footwear. When choosing the dance shoes, you have to look at the heel without the platform, otherwise you might run screaming in the night because they look so intimidating. Imagine a vertical line across the place where you foot meets the top of the platform and carry it over to the heel. You will see that you only have 2 – 3 inches of rise, just like a standard pump.
Importance of wearing a tall heel:
Wearing a tall heel is very important because it gives your legs and butt shape! They force your calves and quads to work and also give your butt a lift. Believe it! Your rear end might look low and flabby when you look at it in the mirror. Slide on a tall pair of heels and next thing you know, you’re looking at teenager butt!
Importance of not going too tall:
There is such a thing as too tall! If you are unable to walk and walk gracefully in the shoes, you will not be able to dance in them. If you try on a pair of shoes and you pitch forward or have to walk as if you’re wearing stilts, then try on a lower pair.
The secret in the boots:
The thigh high boots are a great dancer staple. When the end of the night is near and your knees have taken a beating on the linoleum the boots come to the rescue. I bought this specific pair of boots because of the laces that go up the sides. The laces add a bit of length to my legs which are helpful because the boots can make me look short. The laces also enable me to create different looks. I can have them tight all the way up or I can have them loose up top. I like them loose up top for several reasons. The first reason is this prevents my thighs from spilling over the boots. Even just a little bulge is not pretty! The second reason is that it creates a great place to stuff extra dollars if I’m having a profitable stage set or if my garter fails! The third reason that I like the laces is because it allows room for knee pads. Yes, I have added some padding to the knees of these boots. I cut up some shoe insoles into small rectangles and glued them into the knees. I then glued a whole shoe insole on top of that to prevent wear. The rectangles are to diffuse the effect on the outside of the boot. I don’t want it to look like I’ve got knee pads so the outside must have a more fluid movement. The space in between the rectangles enables the boot to move freely.
Soles:
I will post pictures of the different soles for reference. There is a problem with regular and dancers open toed shoes that I have encountered over the years. The problem resides in the sole of the shoe. Sometimes there is a dual lining in the shoe and it only extends 2/3rds of the way down and abruptly ends. This creates an irregularity, a seam, in the sole. Anyone who has walked a distance with a rock in the bottom of your shoe can relate. The more you walk on it the worse it feels. The seam just happens to be exactly where I place my weight, on the ball of my foot. You don’t feel the seam when you try them on, but you sure to feel it when you’ve worn the shoe for a few hours. These are open toed shoes so adding an insole is impossible! My favorite soles are suede. Fredericks makes a great suede sole without seams. It feels dreamy. My new Lucite flashy shoes has suede sole that does not have any seems.
More on what heels have to do with knee health later….

Roid Rage
I had to take my blog off of public view. I noticed someone typed in my real name on the blog search and *pop* there I was. I'll be waiting a while before I go back live. In the meanwhile I'll still be writing.
I'm trying to make it to Christmas without curling up in a ball and dying. I'm trying very hard but the sad feelings sneak up on me without warning. When that happens I feel like a lost little girl who knows she's not being looked for.
My weekend job is truly helping with keeping me busy. It's exhausting me and I like that. It has also saved my bank account a huge wallup. We had a water pump break under our house yesterday and it cost $750 to have it fixed. That's not counting M's lost pay. Luckily I've been making double my regular income and I'm able to bounce back from that easily. Hopefully, I'll have enough still to get M the present I wanted to get.
any how, I'm going to get back to work.

How was your Christmas?
A waist of time… How was yours?
I’m so glad it’s over. I managed to keep the Holiday “Rapture” to a minimum on the appointed day. But to no avail I went to my Niece’s apartment on the day after for a little father’s side of the family shin-dig only to cry all the way home. There is a reason why I’m trying very hard to avoid the holidays. I CAN’T FUCKING HANDLE THEM. The only people who understand are those who’ve gone through the same thing, those who where in the same position as myself. They tell me to take it slow and do what I can. Those that are berating me about what a “scrooge” I am can Fuck off.

Keeping busy has been good for me. I have a hard time with down time. I don't like to be alone for any amount of time because I get flashbacks. I may have to go to a Dr if it doesn't start going away soon. I will give it a while longer. It was bound to be worse through the holidays. And it really was. I went the deepest in my depression the day after Christmas when I got together with my Dad's kids. This has been a tough week.
M and I will be spending New Years at our house. We're inviting some friends and we're drinking and making s'mores.
I’ve also come up with a plan to get me out of my depression. A Western Caribbean Cruise. Yep I booked it today. I’ve been making enough money at the club we can splurge and go on a vacation and hopefully get us out of our funk. It’ll be nice.
